The Management Team are delighted to let you know that Mari Edwards has been appointed as the new CEO of Beyond the Streets. Mari Edwards has worked in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector for 18 years specialising in multi-agency work and implementing innovative services for women and children. Mari comes to us from Refuge where she has been Senior Operations Manager, Head of Services and, most recently, Head of Sector Alliances and Partnerships and will be taking up the CEO post in late February 2024.
After a thorough recruitment process involving an impressive calibre of candidates, the Trustee Board are looking forward to working with Mari.

We are sure the strategic work of Beyond the Streets to support women will go from strength to strength under her leadership. Mari comes to us with a rich wealth of experience within and around the sector and so together with our staff team and stakeholders we look to further impact positive change in reducing sexual exploitation.”
