About this event

Did you know, there is a surprising portion of east London tourism centred around the 1880s murderer, Jack the Ripper, or rather…the ‘unidentified murderer’? This includes walking tours visiting murder sites, showing graphic photos; dehumanising the women involved for entertainment.

Instead, the Whitechapel Women Walking Tour visits the streets where the women lived, explore what we know about their lives, hear their stories, and commemorate their deaths.

Walk with us to hear an alternative history of events in Whitechapel; humanising these resilient women. What’s even better is that all profits of the tour go towards supporting women in the same area today, through Beyond the Streets’ work.

Why take the tour?

✅ Empowering ideas for how to keep the conversation going about ending violence against women and girls.

Any photographs or video taken at the event and given to Beyond the Streets of the event will be usable by Beyond the Streets for future publicity materials.
